Perhaps my favorite time of year –
The weather for this weekend at camp was perfect.
A chilly start – coolest morning so far this fall. We put the cross bikes on the car and drove from one lake (Rangeley) to another (Aziscohos). We parked at the end of Lincoln pond Rd and proceeded to ride to the top of the lake and back via a large loop.
We found the crash site of a B17 that flew into the side of the mountain we were riding on in 1944.
The road was washed out in spots – some spots more than others…
We are committed to another trip out here next year – this time, continue the ride up to Tim Pond and Eustis. That would be better than fifty miles on mountain dirt roads kids…
